Civil Federal Court Search (District)
- A Search of Federal district courts for civil cases involving alleged violations of federal statutes or constitutional rights. Cases may be brought by individuals, companies or governmental entities seeking monetary damages, an injunction, and/or another remedy provided by law. Case information will include the party name, case title, the court in which the case is located, case number, filing date, nature of suit and closing date.

CBI – Colorado Bureau of Investigations (Arrest Records)
- Provides criminal history for arrest records, not convictions. Excludes any warrant information, sealed records, and juvenile records. Statewide Search.

Colorado Criminal History Search (Statewide)
- Criminal history for the entire state of Colorado (64 counties). Provides the most comprehensive Colorado Criminal Records available. This statewide search retrieves criminal and domestic cases directly from the State of Colorado Court System. Records are up-dated in real-time, giving you up-to-the-minute access to the most current information available.

Credit History (Employment)
- EBS, Inc. recommends Credit History reports for employees that can affect the company financially. This necessarily includes all employees in accounting functions, but may also include other employees that may, for example, be entrusted with a corporate credit or purchasing card or expense account. The credit history reports provided by EBS, Inc. are designed for employment purposes, so they do not count as an inquiry on the individual’s report or reveal either date of birth or a credit score. The report includes verification of the applicants’ name, their current address and two previous addresses, current phone number, current employer, up to three previous employers, and any aliases associated with the Social Security Number. The credit summary portion of the report contains the complete file including public records (i.e., liens, judgments, etc.), collection accounts, current or previous delinquent accounts, types of credit, total indebtedness, and “profile” (i.e., account charged off, repossessed, etc.). To receive credit reports for employment proposes, requires an on-site inspection and a third party fee to an agency.

Criminal Federal Court Search (District)
- Search of Federal district courts for convictions of crimes that occurred on federal property and convictions of federal laws such as tax evasion, mail and wire fraud, drug trafficking, immigration law violations and postal offenses. Records provide a criminal history from the date of disposition, parole or release from imprisonment.

Criminal History Report (County)
- County criminal searches are recommended to protect against workplace violence and employee theft. EBS, Inc. performs searches of current records directly at local county Superior and Municipal courts. Criminal searches are available nationwide as well as in the U.S. territories and Canada. We recommend a search of all counties of residence and any other additional names that are identified in an applicant's Social Security Trace. Using our network of researchers, EBS, Inc. access the most current information available and reports felony and misdemeanor convictions based on applicable federal and state law.
Anticipated turnaround: 4 to 72 hours (90% of the reports are completed within 48 hours.) Please be aware that some of the searches will go beyond 72 hours due to archived records, restricted public access, court closures, inclement weather and other circumstances beyond our control.
Education Verification
- Education verification is recommended for managerial positions, as well as most business office functions. Statistics reveal that education is one of the things that applicants falsify most often on employment applications. EBS, Inc. generally verifies college degrees, unless the client asks that we verify high school or “highest degree” earned. This education verification will report the applicant’s date of attendance, graduation date and degree earned. Some educational institutions will report GPA. EBS, Inc. has procedures in place to verify if a college or university is accredited and to watch out for Diploma Mills.

Employment Verification (Basic)
- Past Employment Verification is recommended for all employees. It is approximated that 40% of all resumes and employment applications contain falsified information. Our Basic Employment Verification reports the employer’s name, applicant’s title, dates of employment, salary history, and eligibility for rehire. EBS, Inc. has incorporated anti-fraud procedures, such as verification of all past employer phone numbers instead of relying on the information supplied by the applicant.

Employment Verification (Supervisor Interview)
- EBS, Inc. offers an Employment Verification, plus Supervisor Interview that adds questions about the applicant’s initiative and drive, follow-through, problem solving skills, organizational skills, work attitude and dependability. Use our specially designed questions or customized your own set of questions, up to 10.

Motor Vehicle History (Driver’s History)
- While some companies believe driving records should be used only if an applicant will be driving a company car, crimes are not isolated to where we live and work. Motor vehicle information exposes important character issues. By searching an applicant's driving record, suspended licenses, failures to appear in court and arrest warrants are brought to the surface. In addition, drug and alcohol related driving offenses, such as driving under the influence and possession of drugs, may serve as a warning of potential substance abuse problems that can affect job performance.

Nationwide Criminal History (Instant)
- Clients concerned about workplace violence and the potential of negligent hiring lawsuits understand the need for a criminal background investigation. EBS, Inc. offers a multi-state criminal record search that enables employers to conduct a broader initial criminal record search. This comprehensive database search includes more than 200 million criminal records, with thousand of new records added each day. Some states and counties are not included in this search and may not be update but once a month. This search should only be used as a research tool and are subjected to false negatives and false positives

Professional License Verification
- The verification Department at EBS, Inc. conducts professional license and certification verifications. Our reports reveal the validity of applicants’ professional licenses, date of issue, renewal and expiration dates, current status and any disciplinary action.

Professional/Personal Reference Interview
- The Professional Interview includes questions that relate to the applicant's professionalism, work ethic, and adaptability. The Professional Interview uses our specially designed questions or customized your own set of 10 questions that focus on the applicant's management capabilities.

Social Security Trace/Verification
- The Social Security Trace checks the validity of an applicant's Social Security Number. If the number is valid, the trace will identify the year and state in which the number was issued. The Social Security Trace will alert you if the number has not been issued, or if it was used in a previously filed death claim. The trace also identifies any additional names and addresses that have been used, which help in determining what counties we should search for any criminal records.

National Sex Offender Registry
- A nationwide search of all State repositories for registered offenders convicted sex offenses; search matches by name and date of birth in 48 states, the other two states are name match only. They may, however, be used in conjunction with county searches for a thorough investigation

Workers’ Compensation History
- Worker’s compensation searches are highly recommended in manufacturing and production environments or wherever physical activity, such as lifting is part of the job requirement. This information enables employers to avoid placing employees in positions that may pose risk of re-injury and identify habitual claim filers. Workers’ Compensation History is a statewide search available in most states, but must be conducted post-offer. The search identifies workers compensation claims against an applicant’s past employers. The history will report the last five (5) events and include case numbers, locations, case status, dates of injury, body parts injured, type of injury, and all party information including lien claimants. When applicants have filed workers compensation claims against past employers, they often intentionally leave them off their employment applications. Falsification of an employment application is ground for revoking a conditional job offer or terminating a recent hire.
